What you'll learn in this travel photography class:

Think you can take better pictures than the ones you see on the postcards? Here is your chance to prove it by capturinga lovely view of a full moon rising just to the right of the Jefferson Memorial and reflected in the Tidal Basin.

We begin our safari just before the 8:23pm sunset at the FDR Memorial in the golden hour, capturing the reflection of the Washington Monument across the Tidal Basin. We then walk over to the Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial and photograph the Jefferson Memorial in the blue hour of twilight, while we await the rise of the full moon at 9 pm, coming up as a deep red orb to the right of the Jefferson Memorial.

Professional architectural photographer E. David Luria will coach you in the single-exposure and (if your camera can do it ) double-exposure techniques of twilight and moonlight photography on this safari, timed to coincide with the sun setting and the full moon rising. If your camera does double-exposures, we will show you how to move the moon from one corner of the sky to place it right over the Washington Monument! How cool is that?

Masking and social distancing is required at all times; groups are limited to 8 participants.
