Tango Thursday: Tango Essentials

Join us and transform your tango skills with expert guidance and a supportive community. Get ready to start feeling like a dancer on the dance floor.

Tango Essentials is a four-series learning program that deep-dives into foundational tango concepts and elements. Each series is topic-specific and progresses within four sessions. 

Series 1: Focuses on torsion (using Baldosa, Basic to Cross, outsides) initial intros to cross system. 

Series 2: Focuses on cross-system, and oppositions while applying Ochos. 

Series 3: Focuses on intros to Rotational Dancing.

Series 4: Focuses putting 1,2,3 together with timings and initial rhythms.

Tango Essentials is followed by the guided Practica (2 hrs)

Practica allows you to immediately implement what you’ve just learned in class. 

Guided Practica means that the instructors will be present to guide you. They will answer your questions, suggest exercises, and help you work through the problem you are experiencing. 

PLEASE NOTE: The Instructors are there to help you learn and not to entertain you = dance with you. They may dance with you if they determine that this is the faster way to help you out. But do not expect them to or be offended if they don’t. There are many students that need attention.
