While I was not sure what to expect, the instructor was informative, friendly, and packed much information in a short time. She also challenged us with exercises, and engaged us as a group. I would definitely take another course with this instructor, and advance my screenwriting skills. Her real-world experience was welcome, also! -

What a remarkable instructor/mentor/coach/cheerleader is Jessica Hinds. Her passion for writing and the enthusiasm she brings to her class is infectious. I am new to screenwriting but have written extensively in other genres, (primarily plays). This class has saved me many hours (and dollars) learning about how to go about this form of creative writing. More importantly, she imparts an irresistible desire to write, I've churned out more pages this month than in the previous year. Thank you Jess, I look forward to taking another class from you soon. -

This was an excellent intensive one-day intro to screenwriting, including the development and classification of ideas, the process of taking a script from idea through various stages to the actual writing of the draft, an in-depth discussion of structure and the way it has changed over time (from the 1970s to today, for example), and a quick but informative overview of the software used in the actual screenwriting process. Loved it, would highly recommend. -

He is a brilliant teacher and the kind of person you just want to be around because I know he is changing not just my writing but my life in ways that I still have not even fully realized yet. -
