Pre-requisites:

CompTIA A+ Certification (Exams 220-1001 and 220-1002)

Audience:

This course is intended for entry-level computer support professionals with a basic knowledge of computer hardware, software, and operating systems who wish to increase their knowledge and understanding of networking concepts and acquire the required skills to prepare for a career in network support or administration, or who wish to prepare for the CompTIA Network+ certification. CompTIA Network+ is the first certification IT professionals specializing in network administration and support should earn. Network+ is aimed at IT professionals with job roles such as network administrator, network technician, network installer, help desk technician, and IT cable installer. This course is also designed for students who are seeking the CompTIA Network+ certification and who want to prepare for the CompTIA Network+ N10-008 Certification Exam.

Module 1: Comparing OSI Model Network Functions
Module 2: Deploying Ethernet Cabling
Module 3: Deploying Ethernet Switching
Module 4: Troubleshooting Ethernet Networks
Module 5: Explaining IPv4 Addressing
Module 6: Supporting IPv4 and IPv6 Networks
Module 7: Configuring and Troubleshooting Routers

Remote Learning

This course is available for "remote" learning and will be available to anyone with access to an internet device with a microphone (this includes most models of computers, tablets). Classes will take place with a "Live" instructor at the date/times listed below.

Upon registration, the instructor will send along additional information about how to log-on and participate in the class.

Refund Policy

Open Enrollment Desktop Applications Classes -- You may reschedule or cancel your enrollment in a Desktop Applications class at no charge with at least five (5) or more business days advance written notice. If you reschedule or cancel your class with less notice or “no show” the full amount of your invoice must be paid. If you need to cancel your registration you also have the option to send a substitute student to your class or to reschedule your class at no additional cost on a space available retake basis for up to 12 months.

Open Enrollment Technical Training Classes with Level TT1, TT2 or TT3 Tech Pricing -- You may reschedule or cancel your enrollment in a Technical Training Class with Level TT1, TT2 or TT3 Tech Pricing at no charge with at least ten (10) or more business days advance written notice. If you reschedule or cancel your class with less notice or “no show” the full amount of your invoice must be paid.
