  I thought I knew something about VO before taking this class but holy smokes... it was honestly the best thing that I could have done for my career, training, and general knowledge of the industry. Every single person in the office was the nicest and most genuine, ever, and their equipment was miles past solid. Then with the instructor - wonderful anecdotes were given about the industry, the advice provided to each and every member of the course (originally an 8 person, ended up 7 person because of horrible weather) was very, very apt, and the follow up phone call / written evaluation was top notch. There was ZERO pressure to buy anything which, along with the everything seen and experienced at the studio, just made me want to sign up even more!! Can't wait for my next level and session at the studio :-)

  Thorough, informative, and interactive. The teacher was friendly, accessible, and clear. The class consists of a discussion around the business landscape balanced with some hands-on workshopping, which was really cool and extremely helpful. I feel like I got a very realistic picture of what working in VO would be like. Plus they give you an honest, detailed, one-on-one feedback session the following day, complete with potential next steps. Altogether I think the experience was worth more than the price of the class. Would absolutely recommend to anyone who's interested in testing the waters of VO, whether it's to pursue as a side job or a career. Also realize that VO isn't always about character play; I was surprised at the multitude of opportunities available for more common voices that don't have a ton of range. So if you're tentative about exploring VO just because you don't have any characters up your sleeve, that shouldn't stop you from taking this class.

  I'm happy with the overview delivered and the coach’s performance. She was great. I had a good time participating and I'm looking for more information to convince my family is a good investment to do. I know the Studio would never promise they would be able to get me voice over jobs, but I know is a good start to build a network. I hope you could give me more information I can use for my family. They want to know if the investment will be worth it to me in the future. It's kind of a good question because that happens, for example, to actors who wants to work for tv, film or magazines advertising, they really need to invest a lot of time in castings and money to present a book and themselves until something happen. I understand maybe in voice over work is the same, but I wonder if you would let me know if there's any casting I could go while I'm studying the program or after. Thank you very much

  The instructor was amazing! Really knowledgeable and patient with students. The exercises and hands-on experience in the booth were very cool and gave you a real sense of what it is to work in the industry. I went into the class thinking, "This is easy! I could do this!" But it's definitely a much more involved profession than I imagined, and I really appreciate that. I just wish that we could have spent a bit more time on learning about the ins and outs of the industry -- we had to rush through that section due to time constraints and I missed a lot of it. If we had written material to follow along with the presentation, it would've been more helpful for me. We didn't receive a handout until that first part of the class was over. Other than that, loved the course and would do it again!

  The class was well worth the time and price. It was very informative and the instructor was very encouraging yet honest as well. I highly recommend this course for anyone interested in exploring voice over to determine if this is truly for them to pursue. I'm looking forward to continuing with Edge Studio and my journey into the voice over world!

  I got a nice review of my voice and potential. The phone call to go over it is two days late sat this point. Did to the previous class being cancelled there were a 1/3 more students then the instructor planned on. This led to only 3 reads before we got into the both and a couple of takes in both so much more time was spent listening to the other students or the instructor. I got what I wanted but was surprised by the little amount of time I had to talk.

  The instructor was great, the perfect balance of being encouraging and being real with us about the challenges and expectations of the voiceover industry. Regardless of whether I go into the craft, I came away with a concrete understanding of what being a voice actor entails, what my options are, and what my first steps would be. And, most importantly, I had fun taking the class! We read a few scripts which included commercials, audiobook segments, lesson introductions, etc.

  I was very hesitant to take the group evaluation since I was pretty shy and didn't know how I would measure up. I literally MADE myself do it despite my nervousness and it was the best decision! You really do benefit from hearing others record and it was so much fun! The instructor was very good at directing and he was funny. I thoroughly enjoyed it. I feel like I learned so much just in the evaluation. I can't wait to see how much I improve with training. Highly recommend!

  Danielle, our facilitator, was knowledgeable, professional, great fun and, importantly, she put everybody at ease. The 3 hour session offered more than I imagined it would; all of us received quality time behind the mic, which was both exhilarating and challenging. And I thought the balance between being introduced to the breadth of VO industry and actual VO practice, with Danielle's direction, was just great. I had a fabulous evening.

  Bill Lorde was great! He provided an excellent combo of big-picture industry lecture and specific tips and tools of the trade like finding professional quality mics on the cheap. he was patient, definitely knew his stuff, and had a great attitude.

  The class was a great introduction to the world of voice acting. The instructor was great, she was warm and clearly very knowledgable. I was personally interested in the tips and techniques to improve my voice over skills, which was not really the focus of the class. The class was more tailored toward the business of voice acting - how to get started, equipment for a home studio, different genres to pursue, etc. I wish we were able to spend a bit more time refining technique or hearing more examples (i.e. good vs. bad reads of the same script) but overall it was very informative.

  The instructor was great with a lot of tips and experience to offer. She gave everyone the same amount of attention no matter the level they were. I particularly liked going into the booth and having an opportunity to have a live recording session. All in all, a great first class.
