Margaritta C. (Marney) Grimes

Teaches at School of Fashion Design

Marney Grimes began in the workroom of Alfred Fiandaca as a sample cutter and quickly advanced to Design Assistant. She then held a position as pattern maker at local industry giant Mast Industries. While her children were young, Marney worked independently doing Bridal and Formal alterations. Later, she was the Costume Designer for Winchester Cooperative Theatre and remained in costume design for ten years. In 2009, she was hired by Cibeline Sariano to create custom pieces for individual customers based on her ready-to-wear line. A few years later, she joined the production staff of Daniel Faucher Couture. Today she is on the production staff at Sondra Celli Design. At SFD, Marney teaches Clothing Construction and Pattern Making.
