Erik Volkert

Teaches at Improv Boston

Erik Volkert began performing and directing in 1996, and joined the ImprovBoston cast in 2001. He has appeared in many shows including Magic: The Gathering: The Show, Heroes, Quest, Writer's Block, Gorefest, and Pirate Lives. Erik has been a guest performer in Mister Diplomat and Face Off, and has performed as part of the regular cast of Micetro, Theatersports, and The Buskers. Currently, Erik can be seen every Sunday night in The Jam. His focus in performing, directing, and coaching is to make improv appear as much like a scripted production as possible, helping performers realize their full potential as on-the-spot actors, writers and directors. He is also keenly interested in using improvisational comedy toward ends other than performance.
