Steve Gilbane

Teaches at Improv Boston

Steve has been accompanying improvisational troupes since 1991, when he joined ImprovBoston as music director and helped them develop their first long form improvised musical. He currently is music director for the musical improv troupe Hidden Falls. Steve has written music for a number of short scripted musicals, including 9 Gorefest shows, ImprovBoston's annual scripted Halloween musical, as well as 2 full-length musicals (Pirate Lives with David Marino, and Showstopper! A High-Tech Musical). He has been teaching musical improv skills to troupes around the country and at festivals since 1999. He attended Berklee College as a film score major, and has scored a number of short films, including 5 48 Hour Film Project films with ImprovBoston.
