What you'll learn in this printing class:
“3D Printing Design Workshop” is a hands-on, project based, weekend-long intensive workshop covering the foundations of digital 3D design for 3D printing.
Taught by designer Fleet Hower, the course will explore software applications as well as in depth technical underpinnings of digital 3D design to create beautiful physical models.

- Learn advanced techniques to create digital models
- Explore coloration and fine detail of digital models
- 3D print a full-color model of your work
- Use industry standard software, ZBrush and Rhino
- Previous 3D design experience not required
- Efficient digital modeling techniques on industry leading software platforms including ZBrush
- A basic understanding and fluency with parametric modeling tools
- Detailed modeling techniques such as coloration, texturing, and sculpting
- How to prepare proper digital files to be exported for the 3D printing process
- The physical limits of a 3D printer, and ways to ensure that your modeling work falls within them
- Digital modeling and 3D printing skills that are directly translatable to a professional working environment
