What you'll learn in this weaving class:
If you're looking for relaxing hobbies, gorgeous handmade wall art, or a creative community in Brooklyn, join this weaving class for all skill levels! In this craft class, you'll learn how to make a handmade tapestry and the knowledge to continue with your new craft hobby.
In this class in NYC, you'll practice and learn all the basic skills for weaving, starting with how to warp a loom. You can be as creative as you want and use yarn of various weights and textures to match your unique style. You will learn a variety of popular weaving stitches including, the tabby weave, soumak, and rya knots. Instead of watching an online video on repeat to learn how to weave, you'll have an experienced instructor to guide you and answer any questions from start to finish!
Weaving can be a soothing hobby-- as you weave together a beautiful creation, unwind your mind and zone out with this creative project. You'll also have the opportunity to make new friends with like-minded individuals. If you're looking for fun date night ideas, bachelorette party activities, or team-building workshops, this creative class is the perfect blend of fun and informative!
Please note:
You might not have time to finish the project in the class, but you will leave with all of the skills and resources needed to finish it at home. Loom and yarn are included.

- We have a firm 3 business days cancellation policy (for credit only) to ensure that we have enough time to refill your seat with another student.
- While it is not in our nature to say no, we are simply not able to accommodate last-minute illnesses or work-related conflicts. However, you are always welcome to send someone in your place, because we understand that these things do happen.
- If you test positive or have been exposed to Covid, and it is less than 3 business days before your class, we will certainly work with you to find a future class for you to attend.
- If you need to reschedule with less than 3 business days notice, please reach out to [email protected].
- In any event where a customer wants to cancel their enrollment and is eligible for a full refund, a 5% processing fee will be deducted from the refund amount.
