Circuit Training: Casting Directors

Each casting director has a unique approach to assembling the perfect cast. This 5-week class will give you the opportunity to work with a different casting director each week, strengthening your skills and deepening your flexibility as an auditioner.

This class might be for you if you:

• Are an actor committed to pushing yourself to expand your auditioning skills.
• Need the dexterity to tailor your auditions to the room in which you’re auditioning.

In this class you will:

• Work on your feet with five different casting directors and managers from some of New York’s most prominent offices.
• Receive a pre-class homework assignment crafted by the casting director that will challenge you with different audition scenarios—the initial monologue, the callback, the cold side, the commercial side, and everything in between.
• Engage in a group Q&A at the end of each session.

By the end of this class you will:

• The flexibility and mindfulness to showcase your skills in a variety of ways, no matter who you’re auditioning for.
• A diverse auditioning toolbox to bring to each and every audition.

Instructors include Paul Davis (Casting Director, Calleri Casting), Stephanie Klapper (Casting Director, Klapper Casting), Matthew Sullivan (Manager, Sullivan Talent Group), and Dani Super (Casting Director, Partner/Owner of Kreindler Super Management).

Successful candidates must participate in and pass an audition before registering for this program, schedule an audition at the "Request Info" submission above. All registrations are subject to approval by The Primary Stages Einhorn School of Performing Arts.
