What you'll learn in this shirt class:

Get step by step instructions to make your own Sleeveless Top. Then, learn to assemble your Top, attaching neck and armhole facings, interfacing, understitching, darts, topstitching, clean finish seams inside, various hand stitching, hem stitching, and more.

Course Outline:
  • Tools and terminology
  • Stitches: Regular stitch, topstitch, basting, understitching
  • Seam finishes: Zig zag, Booked SeamPreparing, marking, and cutting fabric
  • Garment construction including fitting techniques and adjustment
  • Attaching facings and interfacing, sewing darts, clean finishing armholes and necklines
  • Hemming a garment properly
Pre-requisites:
  • Some sewing machine experience is necessary
  • If none, then students required to take a one time workshop - Sew Simple (2-Hour Workshop) or Learn to Sew in a Day (4-Hour Workshop).

Refund Policy
There will be no reduction of fees or full or partial refund for absence, late arrival, late registration, withdrawal or dismissal. 

Cancellations by Us
If a course is cancelled or postponed by Esaie Couture Design School, you will be notified as quickly as possible. You will be given the opportunity to either use the credit for a later start time or transfer to another course. Otherwise, the full cost of your fees will be refunded to you within four weeks, under normal conditions. We shall not be liable for any other consequential loss.

Cancellations by You
​Upon completing registration and enrollment, you agree to the Esaie Couture Design School's terms and conditions and commit to any penalties resulting from your withdrawal or cancellation of classes/courses. 

  • Short Classes (1 Day to 8 Weeks): All cancellations made less than 24 hours prior to the start of a short class or less than 48 hours prior to a private lesson are non-refundable. Vouchers and gift certificates are subject to forfeiture. 
  • Ongoing Programs (3 to 8 Months) (Full Payment): After the start date, all fully paid students who withdraw from a program during the 1st month of class will receive a refund of 75% of their total payment. All students who withdraw during the 2nd months of class will receive a 60% refund. NO REFUNDS WILL BE GRANTED to students who withdraw after the end of the 2nd month of class. 

  • Ongoing Programs (3 to 8 Months) (Payment Plan): After the start date, all students making monthly installment payments who withdraw from a program during the 1st month of class will be charged the full months payment plus a $50 cancellation fee, before the credit/debit automatic drafts are discontinued. All students who withdraw during the 2nd month of class will be charged the monthly payment that is due plus a $100 cancellation fee, before the credit/debit automatic drafts are discontinued. And, of course the non-refundable registration fee portion remains nonrefundable. NO REFUNDS WILL BE GRANTED to students who withdraw after the end of the 2nd month of class.
MAKE UP POLICY

We don't offer make-up classes, but the student is able to go over what was missed in the missed class in their next class. If the student needs more time, they are able to book a private lesson with the provider to further go over what was missed.
