What you'll learn in this glass blowing class:

This class is great for the curious at heart who want to learn more about making glass by hand. Students will begin to learn about the fluid nature of glass by working directly with the 2100 degree molten glass to form and shape it into beautiful hand crafted art objects.

Each student should expect a hands on experience and to work as team to help complete their projects.

No experience necessary.

It was an interesting class. Very intimidating process that eventually became easier. Glad I did it.

The workshop was amazing, very meditative and I'm now dying to take more courses at Brooklyn Glass. The teacher and tas, Susan, Ana, and Connie where all wonderfully skilled and patient and a joy to spend an afternoon with. I always felt safe and glad I read the email about using a tube sock to cover my arm. Take this course!!! Rudy Scala

Awesome introduction to glassblowing! Instructors were great and the 5 hour class flew by. Definitely makes me want to take another class with them to build on the basic techniques that I learned in this class.

Really fun class, perfect size as there were 3 of us to an instructor and we each came away with three items. All the instructors have worked with glass for years and also are great teachers, and their enthusiasm was infectious. It was pretty incredible getting to work with molten glass!! It gets super hot so I'd imagine doing this in the cooler months would be best, but I highly recommend it. Definitely think about following their suggestion of cutting holes in a sweat sock to use as an arm shelf from the heat!!
