Let There Be Light: An Intro to Light Measurement and LED Technology

Are you looking to add more plants to your apartment, but you just don't have enough light? Or maybe you want to gain a more technical understanding of plants, and why light is so important in their survival?

In this class we will explore the basics of light measurement, and how LED technology has revolutionized how plants are grown indoors. Most people are still unacquainted with how beneficial (and low profile) grow lights can be for their plants at home. We want to spread the word!

In this introductory Plant Light class, you will learn:

Basic lighting metrics and terminology (Kelvin, Watts, Lumens, Lux Par, etc..)
How to properly measure light and properly light your plants
How plants perceive lights
Simple Installation techniques
Inexpensive (under $20) lighting that will unlock the true potential of growing plants indoors.
