If you've been thinking about starting a career as an actor, Acting 101 is the PERFECT way to start off. You'll work with Robert Bradshaw who will introduce you to the fundamentals and basics of developing your craft as an actor.
Acting begins with truthful, authentic storytelling. Robert will begin with a thorough introduction to acting theory, including terminology, concepts, and useful tools for anyone needing to build an organic character. The course will utilize imagination exercises and improvisation to help you be present, truthful, and therefore more compelling onstage or onscreen. You'll then work your way into text and performing scenes or monologues, covering the basics of text analysis: identifying action, objectives, point-of-view, and a well rounded story arc.
These techniques will help you prepare for roles and auditions, navigate new roles after cast, and find your authenticity as an actor.
Class size is limited to 14 to ensure personalized attention and plenty of time with each actor.
