​Long Island Angel Network is a technology- and innovation-focused early-stage and emerging growth fund investing in companies in the $500,000 - $2 million range. LIAN consists of individual angel investors interested in financing such privately held companies or ventures.

LIAN screeners endeavor to select companies for presentation that they judge likely to be of the greatest interest to members, but the Network does not make investment recommendations; investors’ decisions are made individually. LIAN’s goal is to bring our region’s most exciting, promising early stage growth companies together with its most savvy investors.

Canrock Ventures is an early stage technology venture capital fund. We focus on turning good technology ideas into great technology businesses. Canrock was founded in 2010 by Jim Estill, Mark Fasciano and Ted Smith.

Marc Alessi has joined the Network in 2011 after a successful career in the New York State Assembly, where he concentrated on policies that would provide incentives for investment in start up companies.  Marc is a corporate attorney by trade, and is of counsel to the Garden City law firm, Jaspan Schlesinger LLP, and a partner in the firms Governmental Affairs Practice- Shelter Rock Strategies where he consults for a number of biotechnology incubators in New York State.

Marc has active investments and sits on the Board of Advisors for a number of Long Island and New York City startup companies in the fields of Information Technology and Biotechnology.  He is also a board member of the Peconic Bay Hospital in Riverhead, and the East End Arts Council of Long Island.  Marc Alessi has founded biomedical device company, SynchroPET.

Corey Massella is a partner of the firm and CEO of Citrin Cooperman’s SEC Solutions Group.

Vincent Tang is a Principal with Canrock Ventures where he is responsible for evaluating new investment opportunities and helping portfolio companies with their strategic and operational objectives. Prior to Canrock Vincent was a Principal with Lockwell Investments, where he invested in small-cap companies in enterprise software, industrial technology, and telecom and media. Before Lockwell, he was with Hale Capital Partners and Bear Stearns.
