What you'll learn in this osha training:

This course, which was developed by the U.S. Dept. of Labor, is designed to introduce workers to OSHA, inform workers of their rights under the OSH Act of 1970, and familiarize workers with some of the health and safety standards contained in 29 CFR 1926 OSHA: Construction Industry Regulations.

Per NYC Local Law 41, all workers on Major Buildings shall have successfully completed, within the previous five calendar years, a ten hour course approved by the United States Department of Labor Occupational Safety and Health Administration in construction industry safety and health.

Major Building is defined as:
  • An existing or proposed building 10 or more stories or;
  • 125 feet or more in height, or
  • An existing or proposed building with a building footprint of 100,000 square feet or more regardless of height, or
  • An existing or proposed building so designated by the commissioner due to unique hazards associated with the construction or demolition of the structure.

Student learning will be achieved through classroom presentations, lectures and hands-on demonstrations including use of scale-model & full-size scaffolds.

Requirements to Receive Certificate of Completion

To receive a certificate of completion for this course, students must:
  • Be present during 100% of the course
  • Participate actively in learning activities, including hands-on demonstrations
Upon successful completion of the course, students will be issued a certificate of completion from NYCSTA. Within 30 days, students will receive a wallet card issued by the U.S. Dept. of Labor. OSHA wallet cards will be mailed directly to the student regardless of who paid for the class.

Per OSHA standards, if a student misses any portion of the class, the student may be eligible to complete the training at a later time. This is considered “Makeup Training”. The Outreach trainer may conduct makeup training for a student in accordance with requirements which can be found at

PLEASE NOTE:
  • If, for any reason, a student misses any part of the training, the student must contact NYCSTC to make arrangements attend another class (additional fees may apply).
  • This course requires a minimum of 3 students. If at least 3 students do not enroll, a notification of cancellation will be sent via email on the day prior to the scheduled start and a full refund will be issued.

Refund Policy
REFUND & CREDIT POLICY

All approved & eligible refund requests can take up to 5 days to be processed.

Clients who register less than 72-hours prior to start of their class will NOT be eligible for a refund. Instead they will be issued a credit for the full amount which can be used toward any regularly scheduled course at All NYC Safety & Training within one year.

-Refund requests made less than 72-hours prior to the start of the class for which the student is registered will NOT be accepted. Instead a credit will be issued for the full amount which can be used toward any regularly scheduled course at All NYC Safety & Training within one year.
-Purchases made by debit/credit card will be refunded (if eligible) to the same card.
-Purchases made by check, money order and cash will be refunded (if eligible) in the form of a check from All NYC Safety & Training.
-Payments for replacement OSHA cards, certificates or course materials are non-refundable.
-Students must be able to comprehend the language in which their course is taught. Refund requests for students that do not comprehend the course language will NOT be processed unless at least 72-hours notice is provided. Instead a credit will be issued for the full amount which can be used toward any regularly scheduled course at All NYC Safety & Training within one year.
-DOB certificate and/or card holders who fail to complete a refresher course within 1 year of their certificate/card expiration date are not eligible for a refund.
-Refunds will NOT be issued more than 45 days after the original transaction date. Clients who request a refund more than 45 days after the original transaction will be issued a credit for the full amount which can be used toward any regularly scheduled course at All NYC Safety & Training within one year.

CANCELLATIONS & RESCHEDULING

All NYC Safety & Training reserves the right to cancel any course for any reason, including low course enrollment. If All NYC Safety & Training cancels a training course the client is entitled to a full refund.

-Cancellation and/or reschedule requests must be received in writing by sending an email to [email protected] The client is responsible for ensuring that All NYC Safety & Training receives any written requests.
-Cancellation requests must be made at least 72-hours prior to start of the class to receive a full refund. Clients wishing to cancel less than 72-hours prior to the start of their course will be issued a credit for the full amount which can be used toward any regularly scheduled course at All NYC Safety & Training within one year.
-Reschedule requests must be made at least 72-hour prior to the start of the class to be considered.

NO SHOWS/MISSED ATTENDANCE: Students who fail to attend a course without providing at least 72-hours notice will be issued a credit for the full amount which can be used toward any regularly scheduled course at All NYC Safety & Training within one year. Students who fail to attend a course, reschedule, and then fail to attend again will forfeit 50% of their tuition, and will be issued a credit for the other 50% which can be used toward any regularly scheduled course at All NYC Safety & Training within one year.
