Class Notes

SQL can be used with a variety of programs. This course uses Microsoft SQL Server.

Prerequisite

SQL proficiency equivalent to our SQL Level 1 course is required, including basic querying, filtering, and aggregation.

Course Overview

• Code subqueries to generate query output
• Create views, manipulate data through views, modify the view structure, and drop views
• Use date functions, text parsing, concatenation and formatting functions
• Create logic statements, variables and user functions
• Use conversion functions to make outputs more user friendly
