Hot Casting: Sarcophagi

This workshop will be a basic sand casting class with a collaborative objective of casting two Sarcophagi. Using glass coffins and other historical artifacts as inspiration, students will work on individual 1” thick panels and choose pieces they wish to contribute to the construction. Two Sarcophagi will be made. One given to a class member, drawn by straws, the other donated to the School Gala Auction. Students will retain all other castings...
