Jennie Maydew is a textile artist living in Brooklyn, New York. Her soft sculptures, weavings, and printed textiles use local plants as dye sources on plant-based fibers. She graduated from Colorado State University (’15) in Fibers & Art Education, and her upbringing in Colorado instilled in her a love for all things wild. She is interested in the precise chemistry of natural dyes and enjoys creating work that exists between science and art, intentionality and chance, method and intuition.

Great introduction to bundle dyeing. Good value for a 3 hour class, included enough materials for the time frame, nice small class size.
