Martha Bloom

Teaches at New York School of the Arts

Bloom attended Green Mountain College in Vermont, the Art Institute of Boston, the Bob Blackburn Printmaking Workshop and The Art Students League from 1972-79. At The Art Students League she won the McDowell Traveling scholarship, several merit scholarships and a Certificate of Completion in Fine Arts Graphics in 1974.  Her teaching career spans thirty years as an instructor for young people at the Art Students League; the Silvermine School of Art, New Canaan, CT; and the National Academy. Bloom has also taught many outreach programs for art centers and museums around the country. Her own work in mixed mediums, including her photographs, has been widely collected and exhibited at Midtown Payson Gallery and the Metropolitan Museum of Art, to name a few.
