Dr. Olga Fedorenko

Teaches at The Korea Society

Olga Fedorenko is Assistant Professor/Faculty Fellow at the Department of
East Asian Studies at New York University. She received her Ph.D. from
the East Asian Studies Department at the University of Toronto in November 2012. Her articles appear in The Korean Popular Culture Reader (eds. Kyung Hyun Kim and Youngmin Choe, Duke University Press) and in the Feminist Media Studies. She is currently working on a book manuscript, entitled “Flower of Capitalism: South Korean Advertising at a Crossroads.” Olga also holds MBA from Yonsei University in Seoul, South Korea, and BA in Korean Studies from Moscow State University in Russia. She will join the
Anthropology Department of Seoul National University as Assistant
Professor in September 2015.
