Jennifer Kurdyla discovered yoga in college initially as a means to manage stress and supplement her dance training. After moving to New York, yoga and its many components became an integral part of her lifestyle—not only to complement the ever-beating pulse of the city, where she's also a book editor and writer—but for its deeply healing and restorative benefits. Her practice focuses on finding balance and strength on and off the mat, and she encourages students to translate the ways that we challenge our bodies in asana in order to release into relaxation in the real world. With an emphasis on clear alignment, breath, and flow, her sequences are dynamic, empowering, and above all joyful. She received her 500-hour teaching certification through YogaWorks.
