Teaches at Brooklyn Dance Lessons

Olga is the founder of Brooklyn Dance Lessons. She has been living and teaching in New York for five years.

Born and raised in Saint Petersburg, Russia, she has been a practicing ballroom dancer for over 20 years. She studied all major styles of ballroom and social dance as well as rhythmic gymnastics, and have participated in over 200 prestigious competitions. She has a long record of achievements as both a ballroom dancer and teacher of competitive dancers, beginners, and wedding couples.

She loves helping people as much as she loves dancing. Her students’ needs range from wedding dances, preparing for a date, fulfilling a childhood dream of learning to swing dance, or training for international competition. It doesn’t matter how big or small your goal is, learning to dance is for everyone.

When new students come to us for dance lessons in brooklyn, we first want to understand why they want to learn to dance and what they want to achieve. But there are so many benefits of dancing that go beyond a hard goal, like improving your muscle coordination, mental dexterity, posture, self-confidence, and overall health.

But in her opinion, the greatest benefit is not the outcome but the joy of the process. When the music starts to carry you or you learn an interesting movement, you get a rush of adrenaline. For couples, dancing can bring them closer and spark new life in their relationships. For single people, dancing opens them up to new experiences and encounters.

Encouraging these connections and whole-life upgrades is why she left the traditional dance studio world to teach private lessons in different locations and even in students’ homes.

She doesn’t want the location or hard schedule to be a reason for people not to give themselves an hour of freedom and happiness. Luckily, there are more people who think the same way and they are happy to be a part of our team.
