Lara Gold

Lara Gold is a professional actor, director and drama therapist. Lara has a BA in dance, MA in drama therapy and a certification in Meisner acting technique from the Neighborhood Playhouse School of Theatre’s in New York City. She has acted with companies such as Hangar Theatre, The Bridge Theatre Company, MTWorks, Manhattan Repertory Theater, Woodshed Collective, San Francisco Theater Pub and Rapid Descent Physical Theater Company. As a drama therapist, she has worked with diverse populations struggling with substance abuse and other disorders such as anxiety, PTSD and eating disorders. Lara draws on her diverse training as an artist and clinician to provide emotional, aesthetic and organizational support to artists seeking to deepen their creative work and integrate the fulfillment found in art making into their daily lives. She also directs self revelatory workshops called RevWorks guiding participants through this challenging and exhilarating creative process. Lara lives in Queens, NY with her wife and 6 month old daughter.
