I’ve planned to start companies since I was a kid. I even started a couple wholesaling projects in middle school. While studying business at Ithaca College my sophomore year, I took a finance class, loved the teacher and the strategic and analytical thought that goes into it, and decided to change my concentration to finance. After college, I worked at Goldmark Advisers, a boutique investment banking firm, where I worked closely with the firm’s executive team and the executive teams of it’s clients on everything from new business development, pitching to investors, and financial modeling. My move to the corporate finance division of Accenture, an S&P 500 listed company, marked the beginning of my return to my childhood dream of operating a company. After two years in finance I returned to my roots and hustled my way into a New York City startup. Now, as part of the founding team of Casual Corp, a laboratory for startups, I’m responsible for new business development, enterprise sales, market analysis and due diligence, and marketing. I’m also a Contributing Writer at Huffington Post where I blog about entrepreneurship, a Master Teacher via Skillshare where I teach about startup finance and business development, and a Mentor at TechLaunch, an early-stage startup accelerator. I bring a diverse skill-set which I believe is well-suited for early stage companies: business development, sales, marketing and user acquisition, customer development, and relationship building. I make for the perfect hustler in the quintessential hacker/hustler duo.
