Nancy Smith

Teaches at 92nd Street Y

Nancy Smith, originally from coastal North Carolina, has planted roots in the city of New York while setting out to contribute to the artistic and educational growth of children and adults from across the board. Upon completion of her MA degree from New York University’s Steinhardt School of Education Nancy has continually pursued her love of teaching and learning through movement for institutions throughout the tri-state area. Nancy presently works as a freelance artist teaching creative dance, tap, jazz, musical theatre and modern dance. She currently serves on faculty for Peridance Capezio Center, 92Y’s Harkness Dance Center as well as Brooklyn Ballet and Dancewave of Brooklyn. She is also a certified yoga instructor.
