Chanelle Aponte Pearson is a Bronx-bred, Brooklyn-based visual artist and filmmaker. In 2016, she successfully competed in and was awarded funding from NBPC’s 360 Pitch Black Forum for the project So Young, So Pretty, So White, a documentary about the global practice of skin bleaching. In 2015, Chanelle was also awarded the euphoria Calvin Klein Spotlight on Women Directors “Live the Dream” grant for the narrative series 195 Lewis, her directorial debut.
