Dave Hanson

Teaches at Gotham Writers Workshop

Dave Hanson has been a staff writer and producer for the television shows Chelsea Lately (E!) and Inside College Football (CBS Sports), a staff writer for the television show Gene Pool, and a writer and performer on the web series The Shorts Show. His stage play Waiting for Waiting for Godot was published by Oberon Books, was a selection of the New York International Fringe Festival, where it won the Overall Excellence in a Play award, and was produced by The Hub Theatre in Boston, the Loud Mouth Collective in Minneapolis, and Libby Brodie Productions at St. James’ Theatre in London, among others. His short play Café d’Automatique is included in the Best 10-Minute Plays anthology (Smith & Kraus) and the Collective: 10-Play Anthology, and it’s been produced for the Nylon Fusion This Round’s On Us Short Play Festival, among many others. He’s taught at Emerson College, The New York Film Academy, and the American Musical and Dramatic Academy. He has studied at the Oxford School of Drama and holds a BA in Theatre Arts from Whittier College.
