Easy Greek Bread Recipes (Virtual Cooking)

Bread baking has been around for roughly 10,000 years. There's a reason why the tradition has lasted so long. Not only is it nourishing and delicious, but it's such a satisfying and therapeutic process to bring a fresh loaf to life!

Join Chef Maria in her Manhattan kitchen for our first virtual class centered all around simple and approachable bread recipes, specifically tied to Ancient Greece. You will learn to make two different types of bread in under two hours! The first is a Lagana Bread, the Greek version of Focaccia. The second is a Greek yoghurt flatbread, commonly known as Pita bread. One requires baking in the oven and the other is cooked over the stovetop. These recipes should save you a few trips to the market. So that's a double win!

Break out your rolling pins and get ready for an arm workout, by way of kneading dough. Invite your friends and family to join you for class so you can connect virtually and enjoy a fun afternoon of creating something from scratch, together. No experience is required! You'll have the opportunity to interact with Chef Maria throughout the class.

You will receive an email with the equipment and ingredients list. However, the main ingredients required to participate along with the chef in your own kitchen include:

• all-purpose flour
• sugar
• salt
• olive oil
• raw sesame seeds
• and Greek yoghurt
